Join for an unforgettable evening at the Eastborough Hall on Sat Feb 17, 2024, at 4 PM as we come together to support a noble cause. This in-person event aims to raise funds for the people of Palestine, providing them with much-needed support and hope.

Indulge in a feast offering a delightful blend of cuisine. Savor the flavors of traditional dishes while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere and connecting with like-minded individuals who share a passion for making a difference.

Prepared to be moved by heartwarming stories and inspiring testimonials that shed light on the challenges faced by the Palestinian community as expressed by our four (4) guest speakers.

Bernard Regan served for twenty-five years as the National Executive of the National Union of Teachers. He has been publicly campaigning in support of the rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination for over three decades and is an executive member of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign. He was the first recipient of the NUT’s Steve Sinnott Award (2015) in recognition of his contribution to international solidarity. He gained his PhD in 2016 studying with the Palestinian historian Nur Masalha.

Haneen Jadallah is from Gaza. An English language teacher, a teacher trainer, and a remote theatre specialist and lecturer at the University of Warwick. She is also a Sahin family award winner for exceptional progress at Warwick University. She is passionate about connecting young people in Palestine with their peers around the world through intercultural link-ups and online theatre.

Dr Wajid Khan is Research & Development Manager at the South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. He is also an Associate Clinical & Forensic Psychologist. Wajid has worked in the NHS and healthcare setting for over 18 years building extensive experience in clinical, research, and teaching practices.

Dr Bushra Almari is a British Palestinian from the West Bank. She is a lecturer in pharmacy. She is the volunteer coordinator for Palestine International Medical Aid (PIMA) and an active member of the Muslim Association of Britain (MAB). She is locally and nationally active in Muslim and social initiatives and has previously served as the academic affairs officer of her students’ union.

There will also be an auction, consisting of tuition sessions, spas, hampers, and more. With 100% of the auction proceeds donated to our chosen charity Medical Aid for Palestine (MAP).

By attending the Palestine Fundraising Dinner, you will be contributing towards initiatives that provide essential aid, education, and healthcare to those in need. Every contribution counts, and together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of the Palestinian people.

Proceeds from the tickets will be donated to the Medical Aid for Palestine MAP. This event is run in conjunction with the National Education Union who work with MAP to provide food, toiletries, and psychological support for the children of Gaza.
