About this event
As-Salamu Alaykum All,
Minhaj Welfare Foundation in partnership with Al Minhaj Institute would like to welcome the community to attend our Muharram Conference.
Beyond its spiritual importance as decreed by Allah (SWT), Muharram carries a series of captivating history. Within this sacred month, Prophet Nuh (as) and his companions emerged from the Ark finding solace upon Mount Judi after the cataclysmic flood. Prophet Musa (as) liberated the Children of Israel from the clutches of the malevolent Pharaoh with Allah’s (SWT) divine intervention. Prophet Yunus (as) emerged from the depths of the belly of a mighty fish escaping its confines and finding freedom. Prophet Yusuf (as) triumphantly rose from the depths of the well into a world of light and destiny and Prophet Yaqub (as) witnessed a miraculous restoration of his long-lost eyesight.
Moreover, during this month, Imam Hussain (ra) and his kin valiantly confronted the tyrant Yazid, witnessed the unimaginable loss of relatives and companions, denied even a drop of water, while his cherished ones were held captive and mercilessly slain.
