The Freedom From Addictions Full-Day Workshop is a transformative experience designed to empower and equip you with practical and effective tools to embark on your journey to recovery.
This workshop is aimed at those battling with all types of addictions, from your smartphone to substance use, and also aimed at friends and families of anyone suffering from the effects of having loved ones afflicted with such challenges. We will cover elements rangings from the physiologicial impacts of addiction, as well as case studies, and implementable advice, mindsets and strategies you can take away and start doing yourself.
Delivered by our expert trainers:
- Dr Nasir Hussain – Medical Doctor in Gastroenterology and Liver Medicine. Dr Nasir has extensive specialist experience with managing patients with Alcohol Related Liver Disease from addiction recovery to transplantation. He is also a self development coach with WiseLife Academy an interest in self development and achieving excellence.
- Imran Khan – Mental Health Counsellor (BACP) and Qualified Chartered Accountant. Imran specialises in Psychosynthesis counselling, utilising transpersonal and Islamic approaches to support to both Muslims and Non-Muslim clients. He has previously volunteered with mental health charities such as Samaritans and Our Minds Matter, providing emotional support to distressed individuals. Additionally, he has been a careers mentor to many individuals over the years, leveraging over a decade’s worth of experience being an Audit/Risk Professional, which he continues in as his primary career.
- Abeda Ahmed – Qualified Therapist based in Birmingham who specialises in relationship issues and is also a sex addiction therapist who works with Muslim clients, including couples, and also individuals struggling with pornography addiction. Abeda also has a Masters Degree in Development Studies and English Literature. She is a Relate Counsellor as well as a CEDR Accredited Mediator. She has extensive experience of working with Individuals and Families, including those who have children with special needs and disabilities.
