Ramadan Dialogue Iftar: ‘Peace and Unity’

About this event

The Dialogue Society cordially invites you to the annual Iftar Dinner event with the theme of Peace and Unity’ in support of BCOT. We are delighted to gather in person to foster a united community spirit, social cohesion, mutual understanding, and solidarity. We aim to dine together, engage in dialogue, and enjoy a Ramadan evening.

At the Dialogue Society, we firmly believe that the inclusion of our diverse communities, encompassing all faiths (or none), cultures, ethnicities, abilities, and sexual and/or gender identities, is essential for the overall well-being of our society.

As we eagerly anticipate the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, the Dialogue Society warmly invites you to our Ramadan Dialogue Iftar, themed ‘Peace and Unity’. In an era where societal divisions may seem pronounced, our iftar serves as a symbol of mutual respect, understanding, and shared humanity. This year, we draw inspiration from the essence of Ramadan—a time of introspection, community, and breaking barriers—to underscore our collective journey towards a more harmonious society.

Our iftar transcends mere nourishment of the body; it offers an opportunity to enrich the heart and mind. Participants will engage in valuable conversations with a diverse group of individuals, each bringing unique insights on fostering peace and unity in our communities. Through these discussions, our goal is to dispel misconceptions, forge enduring bonds, and collaboratively envision a more unified and inclusive future for all.

As we gather to break our fast, let us also dismantle the barriers that separate us, weaving a mosaic of different cultures, faiths, and ideas into a cohesive, vibrant community. Join us in celebrating unity and peace, embracing the spirit of Ramadan, and progressing together, fortified by our shared values and aspirations.

NOTE 1: This event is exclusively for individuals aged 12 years and older, as there is limited capacity available.

NOTE 2: The event is free but donations are welcome and all donations will go to our Talking Bubble Project.
