Join us for a talk documenting a millennium of Arab-British encounters followed by a presentation of our oral history project.
About this event
From 8th century exchanges with the Abbasids to the present-day Arab communities that have settled in the West Midlands, we will be tracing the history of encounters and exchanges between the British Isles and the Arab world. This event will begin with a lecture by Dr Neelam Hussain summarising this rich history, followed by a presentation on some of the oral history interviews we have conducted
