Before we can change our patterns, we need to understand
what is actually happening within us

Sacred Circuitry: Foundations is a psycho-spiritual workshop exploring the inner architecture of the self through
Islamic psychology, psychology and neuroscience
.

Together, we’ll explore the
Four Inner Faculties — qalb, nafs, rūḥ and ʿaql
- and how they interact to shape our thoughts, emotions, desires and behaviour. We’ll look at the
ego’s disguises and protective patterns
, why we can know something intellectually yet still struggle to change it, and the foundations of how repeated patterns become wired into the way we respond.

You’ll begin learning how to
observe your inner world rather than simply react to it
, giving you a foundation for deeper self-knowledge, muḥāsabah and intentional change.

We’ll explore:

The ego’s disguises and protective patterns

Why we repeat patterns even when we know better

The neuroscience of patterns, habits and change

Self-observation, muḥāsabah and returning towards fitrah

Sacred Circuitry: Foundations is the prerequisite for the Sacred Circuitry 10-Week Programme.

If you have previously attended the original Sacred Circuitry workshop, you do
not
need to attend Foundations again.
