Muslim Writers North Presents: The Next Chapter of our Open Mic Series
Join us for the second edition of Manchester’s newest creative space!

Following our spectacular, completely packed launch night, Muslim Writers North is thrilled to announce the second event in our Lyrical Layl series. Since 2009, our focus has been to support Muslim writers to cross into the mainstream—on page, on stage, and on screen. Lyrical Layl is our latest initiative to maintain a supportive, vibrant local space where you can share your voice, release your inner muse, and connect with a fantastic community.

For our second gathering, we are focusing our energy around a vital new central theme: Identity.

Who are we when we peel back the labels given to us by the world? How do we map our personal histories, our dual heritage, or our evolving sense of self? Whether you are a seasoned poet, a novelist testing out a brand-new chapter, or a storyteller exploring ancestral roots and diaspora experiences, we want you to come and share your words with our warm community.
