SHAYKH MOHAMMED MAHMOUD
After graduating from University College London (UCL) with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, he completed his Islamic studies in the UK, attaining a diploma in Shari’ah at the European Institute of Human Science.
Shaykh Mohammed served as an Imam of Muslim Welfare House in Finsbury Park for 7 years before serving as the Senior Imam at the East London Mosque between 2018-2023.
In addition to regularly delivering Friday sermons, Shaykh Mohammed provides ongoing religious guidance to the community, weekly Islamic classes, free one-to-one counselling and tarbiyah. He also engages in various outreach, interfaith and charity projects.
He has attained ijaazah in the sciences of Qur'an, Hadith, Fiqh, Aqeedah, Usul, Tazkiyyah, and Arabic grammar at the hands of numerous scholars.
