MACFEST, Muslim Arts and Culture Festival, in partnership with the School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology at The University of Salford have initiated a new Arts Award programme that celebrates and raises the visibility of Muslim artists through an exhibition and Award Ceremony.
An artists open call was announced on 1st April 2026 to all UK based Muslim Artists to submit artworks under the following categories, Calligraphy, Drawing, Painting and Photography by 15th June 2026. From this initial submission the best artworks, selected by the judging panel, will be shown at an exhibition at the New Adelphi Atrium exhibition space at the University of Salford. This exhibition runs from the 19th November until December 2026, with the Preview evening on 19th November at

The Award evening celebrates all the artworks submitted and will announce the winners of the 4 categories. The evening will be an opportunity to celebrate the talent across the 4 artforms.
AWARD CEREMONY EVENING
Max two tickets per booking, due to limited capacity. If an extra ticket is required please let us know. We can add you to the waiting list. If any places are available, we will let you know.
TICKETS: £65 includes 3 course dinner and entertainment.
EARLY BIRD: £50 pp - limited amount, book ASAP!
VENUE: Manchester Hall, 36 Bridge St, Manchester, M3 3BT.
TIMING: 6pm Arrival. Reception in Museum Suite.
Awards Ceremony starts at 7pm in Goulburn Suite
