HOW MUCH? Free SATURDAY Seerah SESSION
WHEN? 1pm- 4pm
WHO? Adults & children from 0 to 16 years.
(Younger children and older children will have separate sessions)
Please note all children must be accompanied by adults and the adult should support the child/ren during any arts and crafts/discussions outside of the workshop times. It is hoped that this library is a space to grow closer as families and as a community. Older children will also have an opportunity for discussions in groups.
Come along and explore our rich heritage of Islamic stories from the Qur’an, Seerah and other tales whilst enjoying something from our pop-up cafe.
Cafe
Each child and adult will receive a FREE ticket upon entry. With this ticket you can collect a free hot drink from the cafe. There will also be a selection of food and cakes available on sale to help fund events at the Olive Tree Library.
With Jumana Moon
Jumana Moon is storyteller with a special interest in stories from Islamic tradition. She is the founder of the Hud Hud Storytelling School.
Jumana now tells in schools, universities, museums, festivals and at a range of cultural and community events. She has also been involved in a series for British Muslim TV called ‘Legend Has It’, exploring storytelling in Islamic tradition. Jumana co-runs ‘Stowtellers’ storytelling club in east London with Mike Forbes. She believes that stories and creativity are essential for our lives and communities, for both adults & children. Jumana also works as a child psychotherapist in a primary school.
