Celebrate the arts of the Islamic world as part of the West Midland’s Mayor’s Community weekend.
About this event
Join for a day of arts and crafts activities inspired by patterns from around the Muslim world. With five art ‘stations’ for you to rotate around, there will be plenty to do. you’ll get the chance to sample the following:
– Islamic geometric patterns: creating patterns with pencil and ruler and geometry origami
– ‘Arabesque’ flower patterns
– miniature bookmaking
– square kufic cross-stitching
Suitable for ages 8 +
Please note: all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
