For everyone aged 18 – 35 yrs, not just those in the medical field
Are you looking for a space to discuss the ethical issues affecting life and death by Muslims specialists in their fields?
Look no further than our networking event!
We specialise in providing platforms for young Muslims to discuss issues that impact their lives whilst networking with like minded individuals in spaces that are warm, friendly and welcoming.
Our speakers are specialists and well acclaimed, talking on ethical issues on health related topics such as:
- Contraception and abortion
- Organ donation
- End of life issues
From specialist speakers:
- *Shaykh Dr Rafaqat Rashid*, Shari’ah scholar, GP and an international professional trainer and educator and the co-founder of al-Balagh Academy. He is Course Director of many of its courses in particular its popular international medical fiqh programmes, which have had hundreds of registered students around the world, and associated takhassus courses for ulama.
- *Dr. Muti’ah Badru, MRCOG*, Sexual and Reproductive Health expert, Founder and Educational Lead of SRHEd, a social enterprise that provides evidence based, culturally sensitive information and support to young people and women from religiously conservative (particularly Muslim) backgrounds.
We will also have other heath professionals available for round table discussions to help with mentoring and career advice:
- Aisha Farooq, Birth and Breastfeeding Coach, Pharmacist
- Khalid Anis, Dentist, Clinical Director of Chester Cosmetic and Dental Care
Over a lovely hot meal included in your ticket price, you’ll get to meet other like minded Muslims in a friendly and laid back atmosphere.
Whether you are in health related professions, studying these fields or just interested in the Islamic perspectives on life, birth, organ donation and death, you are very welcome!
