Sumaiyah Solkar, the project lead for the Active Madrassah workstream, has been instrumental in promoting physical activity, sport, and play within Madrassah settings. Over the course of a two-year journey, she has worked closely with Madrassah leaders to overcome barriers and understand their unique needs and sensitivities. The goal has been to place physical activities at the heart of Madrassah sessions, ultimately enhancing the overall well-being of children and young people. Now, there are 28 madrassahs who have changed their cultures and are delivering physical activity opportunities to over 5000 young people.
In this webinar, you will hear about what a thriving and active Madrassah looks like, the key success factors as well as the skills in leadership required to enable this to happen.
