There comes a point in your life where you begin to ask the foundational questions in life – trying to make sense and find meaning amidst all of the confusion, knowledge and abundance of information available. This can be a daunting task – and one which may not result in us gaining clarity on the most foundational of questions such as:

1. Who am I?
2. Who is God?
3. What is the role of this world and why am I here?
4. What is my unique purpose in life?
5. How do I practically achieve my purpose?

In 2 days, we aim to explore the 5 universal questions every person is seeking answers for, with crystal clear clarity.

Join our highly interactive and engaging 2 Day Retreat, where we will explore these questions in a way you’ve never experienced before.

[Please note there is a seperate pricing should you stay off-site. In the past, our guests who attend with their family and children have found staying at a nearby Premier Inn to be comfortable. If you were to stay off site, you would still have access to our activities, workshops and meals.]

We believe in making things affordable and accessible for everyone, so we run these retreats with on a not-for-profit basis. Our teachers volunteer their time – they do not take a salary and serve people unconditionally.

YOUR INSTRUCTORS

This retreat will be delivered under the Supervision of the Principal of UK Academy of Islamic Sciences: Shaykh Ahmad Dabbāgh

MAJID HUSSAIN

Majid is a Barrister and Partner at a leading UK professional services firm. He is a leading professional in the City of London and has won numerous awards – he has also been listed as a Future 100 Leaders by City Wealth, a leading London publication for private client practioners. Additionally, he is a leading speaker and coach on character development in the modern age.

He has studied the use of social and emotional intelligence, and their role in human transformation. He has also spent several years studying various Islamic Sciences under those foremost in the fields of Islamic thought and spirituality. He lives in Surrey with his wife and four children.

ABDUR RAHEEM

Abdur Raheem works in Public Service. He is also learned in the Islamic sciences and has travelled to Morocco, South Africa and the West Indies amongst other countries, teaching the sacred sciences of self-development. He also mentors young people and adults alike inspiring them to adopt a life of goodness.

TAHIRA HUSSAIN

Tahira is an Alimah & Teacher in Islamic Studies, and a Self Development Coach. Tahira also spearheads the sisters’ department for an international Islamic organisation, regularly holding one-to-one coaching sessions with sisters across the globe, including the UK and Pakistan.

HARUN AHMAD

Harun has worked for some of the world’s largest companies, having worked at Shell, Google and now Meta. Harun has a keen interest in the role of functional spirituality in rehabilitating people suffering from stress and trauma having studied NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) and is a qualified Mental Health First Aider.

He has spent over 7 years studying various Islamic sciences and the practical application of these in light of personal development, under those foremost in their fields.

ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION

The Islamic Foundation owns and runs a self-contained residential conference/retreat facility within its complex. The Markfield Conference Centre provides a pleasant venue for gatherings, conferences and training programmes. It is used by various groups of Muslims and non-Muslims from Britain and abroad. The Dining Room can seat up to 80 people and serves food and refreshments that are freshly prepared on the premises daily.
