Spiritual Seerah (Module 2)
Description
Study the Seerah online whilst exploring the many practical lessons, gems, and spiritual benefits from the life of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
About this event
Spiritual Seerah is back for a second module this Rabi’ul Awwal! After the success of our first module covering the Makkan era (from the Prophet’s birth to the migration to Madinah), we are happy to launch the next part of this unique online course. As well as covering the life of our Prophet (peace be upon him), we will be exploring the many lessons we can learn and spiritual benefits we can apply to our own lives with Ustadh Shabbir Hassan.
The 10 years in Madinah marked the beginning of a new era for the Muslims. In module 2 we will be covering the following as part of the Madinan era:
- How the Muslims settled in to Madinah
- The building of the mosque & the Constitution of Madinah
- The Muhajirun (Emigrants) and the Ansar (Helpers)
- The Munafiqun (Hypocrites) and the Yahud (Jews) of Madinah
- The different battles & expeditions including Badr, Uhud & Khandaq
- The Treaty of Hudaibiyah & the Conquest of Makkah
- The various rulings & Qur’anic revelations in Madinah
- The demise of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
Some lessons we will be taking a deeper look at from the Seerah:
- Building a strong Muslim community
- Leadership skills from the Seerah
- The gradual Qur’anic revelations & rulings
- Snapshots from the lives of some of the great Companions
- Overcoming defeat and triumphing in small numbers
We will also be studying some of the different Quranic chapters that were revealed to the Prophet ﷺ in these years.
If you missed out on the first module, you can purchase the ‘Modules 1 & 2’ ticket for full access to all recordings from module 1 (20+ hours of content), as well as the live sessions for module 2. If you already have some exposure to the Seerah and would like to jump straight to module 2, you can purchase the ‘General Admission’ ticket.
This course will be delivered online via Zoom every Wednesday over 10 weeks between 6:30pm – 8:45pm (UK). Recordings will be available for students who request them in advance as live attendance is of great importance.
