Single Muslim Marriage Event Ages 22-29

This event is for practicing single Muslims only. Participants are expected to observe islamic dress and etiquette. We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone who does not meet our necessary criteria.

Our criteria that must be accepted are as follows:

• Practicing Sunni Muslim
• Working professional
• Observes daily salah
• Women are required to bring an adult chaperone (over 21) (parents or mehrams)

Registration

Pre-booking and registration are essential via Eventbrite. Tickets will not be sold at the door and must be purchased online before the event starts. Tickets are sold on a first come first served basis and we try to achieve a 50:50 ratio between Men and Women.

The Marriage Event process

The event will start promptly at 10:00 am, we kindly request all participants to arrive 30 minutes earlier in order for us to check you in and get you seated.

The schedule for the day is as follows:

9:30 – 10:00: Registration

10:00 – 10:30: Introduction

10:30- 12:30: Table Rotations

12:30 – 13:30: Lunch and Dhuhr

13:30 – 14:30: One-on-one sessions

14:30 – 15:00: Asr Prayer

Female participants will remain seated at their individual tables with male participants rotating to each table through a series of 5-minute conversations. This will last 2 hours allowing each person to speak to all attendees before breaking up for refreshments and light snacks. You will then have an opportunity for further discussions with anyone who you are interested in, with your Mehram present. Our experienced team of volunteers will be on hand to support you during the day, to ensure the event runs smoothly and in line with Islamic customs.

Authentication

Your booking reference and passport ID will be checked on arrival to validate your British Nationality (or equivalent) and credentials. No allowances will be made for late arrivals or no-shows.

The event will be held at the British Muslim Heritage Centre, College Rd, Whalley Range, Manchester, M16 8BP.

Chaperones

Chaperones are compulsory for female participants. Accepted Chaperones are Mothers or Adult Mahram. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not have an appropriate chaperone.

Please note that venue capacity is restricted to 1 chaperone per participant.

Refunds

Refunds are allowed until 7 days before the event, after which no refunds will be accepted.
