Pop Art for Palestine – Art Workshop

The intentions of these workshops are to bring people together, and take a moment to learn more in-depth about the rich artistic and cultural heritage of Palestine while exploring how we can channel our artistic skills towards solidarity in the present.

Following our first sold out workshop, we are really excited for our next one to be run by artist Farah Soobhan.

Farah will be facilitating a Palestine resistance art workshop using mixed media Pop Art painting and collage techniques . She will be highlighting the importance of resistance art while looking at important symbolism used in the Palestinian resistance movement; for example the watermelon, key, Palestine map and kuffiyeh patterns amongst others.

Farah Soobhan is a teacher, workshop facilitator, curator, and contemporary mixed-media artist based in London. She uses the recognisable and versatile language of Pop Art to explore her own identity as a Muslim woman living in the West. Her work highlights deeper messages ranging from spirituality, mental health to political and humanitarian crises taking place globally. She has exhibited over the years at galleries including MICA Gallery, Moniker Art Fair, Queen of Hoxton and The Crypt Gallery. https://www.farahvisualarts.com/
