Description
Islamic Arts Circle: One of Islam’s most popular books? Why the manuscripts of the Dala’il al Khayrat matter.
About this event
Islamic Arts Circle
Written by Muhammad b. Sulayman al-Jazuli, the Dala’il al-Khayrat is entirely dedicated to the praise of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). It is naturally, therefore, one of the most popular books in global Muslim communities. But in order to understand the text fully, we need to understand the manuscripts too.
Dr Nadirah Mansour is the Assistant Curator of Islamic Art, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She received her PhD from Princeton University and she has carried out extensive research on the manuscripts of the Dala’il al-Khayrat.
MIAH Foundation would like to extend its thanks to the Cadbury Research Library for its support of the lecture series.
This event is free to attend. If you are in a position to contribute, we would be grateful if you select the optional donation ticket option to help cover our costs and plan further events.
