Letters from the Global South in Norwich!
Chapel Field East, Norwich NR2 1SF, United Kingdom
Description
Come & view the “Letters from the Global South” displays and join the interactive workshop on climate change at the Norwich Wellbeing Centre
About this event
“Letters from the Global South” is an educational initiative jointly run by Zero Hour, the campaign for the Climate & Ecology (CE) Bill, and Muslims Declare (a Climate Emergency).
Exhibition Viewing
On Friday, September 22, the exhibition will be open to the public from 10:30 am until 2 pm. In this exhibition, you will explore illustrations, handwritten letters, personal accounts, photos and artwork that collectively tell a story about how climate change and nature loss impact different communities worldwide. These displays will serve as a starting point for our discussions and activities during the workshop later in the afternoon.
Workshop & Refreshments
On the same day, you can also join us for a special three-hour workshop. Our goal is to bridge the gap between global solidarity with affected communities worldwide and local action in the UK. Through storytelling, group activities and discussions, we will explore different views on how to tackle the problems we face and then collectively generate project ideas for positive change.
We warmly welcome everyone, whether you’re simply curious and looking to learn more about the exhibition’s themes or if you’ve never been involved in climate-related campaigns before. We invite people from all backgrounds, irrespective of your prior knowledge or experience with the exhibition’s themes, to join us in this relaxed and friendly event.
Refreshments will be available throughout the workshop.
