Jannah – Eternal Bliss

“As for those who believe and work righteous deeds, they will have the gardens of Paradise as hospitality. Eternally therein, they will not desire any other [place].”

[Qur’an 18:107-108]

Believing in the Akhirah (afterlife) and what it will consist of – Jannah (Paradise) or Jahannam (Hellfire), is obligatory for Muslims.

The pleasures and satisfactions of this dunya are usually temporary and as human beings, we crave to experience these feelings endlessly – Joy, contentment, happiness and being at ease with no stress or anxieties.

Our hearts yearn to return to our true home, Jannatul Firdaws, where we can reside with no pain or anguish, no illness or diseases. An abode where hardships and struggles will never exist, and we can live eternally with our loved ones – where our very desires from thoughts can instantly come into existence.

Sometimes we struggle to stay motivated and keep on going when life is travelling at 100mph. We battle with our nafs daily to avoid giving in to worldly temptations and face many challenges which may lead us towards the wrong direction. However, hearing and reflecting on the narrations of Jannah IS a motivation for us to keep striving, developing and remaining focused on our objective. But how do we reach our end goal and when will we enjoy the fruits of our labor?

What will Jannah consist of? What rewards and eternal blessings will we receive? How do we get there and what will we feel once we enter? SPEAKER BIO:

Shaykh Dr Abu Ibrahim – has a PhD in law, specialising in Islamic Family Law. He also has a Masters in Islamic studies and has completed his Alim course. He has written academic papers published by both Cambridge and Oxford University. The Shaykh is an Imam and Khateeb and delivers Islamic lectures throughout the UK. He regularly works with Muslim charities, community organisations, and educational institutions including Islamic Societies (ISocs). He currently sits as an Islamic advisor on the board of several NGOs dealing with issues such as Islamic marriage and divorce, mental health, and youth in society. He is also a family and relationship counsellor.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EVENT:

1) Streaming is not permitted. You may take pictures or short videos at the event but not stream.

2) We have segregated seating for brothers and sisters – on a first come first serve basis.

If the capacity of the venue has been filled, you will not be allowed to enter (even if you have booked a ticket) due to health and safety reasons. Unfortunately due to the number of people not turning up to the event after registering, we have to oversubscribe tickets. Please make sure you arrive on time to get your seat.

3) Tickets hold no monetary value – there will be no refunds issued.

4) Organisers of the event have the right to turn away any person/group at any given time from the event.

5) If you have any children attending events, please ensure they are supervised at all times. If they do happen to get restless, please kindly take them away from the event so that they do not disturb attendees or the Shaykh.

If you do bring a pram/pushchair to the event, please ensure that you do not block any of the pathways as this can cause potential hazards.
