About this event
We are honored to invite you to our bespoke conference where we will be providing you with an overview of our recent mental health project
In this interactive workshop we will be looking at the variety of challenges our youth and Muslim community are facing such as domestic abuse, Mentall illness and identity issues
We have guest speakers who have taken time out to provide with you with their extensive knowledge and experience in this field.
This session is a family event and we encourage attendance from both men and women. Children can attend if required.
We are charging £5 to secure your place. 100% of your ticket proceeds will be given towards the earthquake victims in Morocco.
About our Guest Speaker:
Dr Rasjid Skinner read Anthropology and Psychology at Durham University before Anthropology research and then training in Clinical Psychology at Queens University, Belfast. He also trained in Jungian Analysis. He works as a hospital Consultant in Bradford, U.K., holds the Visiting Chair in Clinical Psychology at Karachi University, and teaches at The Muslim College Cambridge and Sheffield University. He helped set up ‘Ihsaan’, a charitable organization that provides expert psychological therapies from an Islamic model. He converted to Islam in 1977, and was for some years President of The Association for British Muslims
