IFTAR UNDER THE STARS – DONCASTER

This Ramadhan, 71st Doncaster Hunafa Scout Group are back again to run their most popular event, Iftar Under the Stars!!!

Ramadhan is a holy month in the Islamic calender. Muslims abstain from food and drink during daylight hours and then come together for a meal at sunset to open the fast (Iftar) and then nightly prayers (Tarawih). It is a time of spiritual reflection, personal development and community unity.

Iftar Under the Stars is a family fun day for charity. It is designed to bring together the families of Scouts, along with the wider Muslim and non-Muslim community, to experience an evening of Scouting activities followed by an evening meal and prayers under the stars.*

We would like to invite you to join us in an evening of adventure, fun and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy in the great outdoors! There is something for everyone no matter what your age!

There will be congregational prayers (jamaat) at the event for Asr and Maghrib.

LIMITED TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE! BOOK EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT!

TICKETS ON THE DAY WILL BE LIMITED AND MAY NOT GUARANTEE FOOD!!!

*There is no obligation to take part in prayers but we encourage everyone to stay back and be part of the spiritual atmosphere. Prayers will take place indoors in the event of wet weather.
