Understanding Our Minds Through Faith
This month’s Girls Youth Programme focuses on an important topic that affects so many of us – mental health.
The session will explore emotions, coping strategies, healthy boundaries, and how to nurture our mental space. We will also look at how to develop resilience and emotional intelligence, taking inspiration from the life of a Sahabiyah (female companion of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ).
Through guided discussion, interactive activities, and games, participants will gain a faith-based understanding of how Islam encourages emotional wellbeing and balance, helping young Muslim girls build confidence and inner strength.
Speaker: Ustadha Zulekha
This session will be delivered by Ustadha Zulekha, a mental health professional and Islamic teacher, who will focus on emotional intelligence through the life of a Sahabiyah. Her approach combines professional expertise with Islamic principles, giving practical tools to manage emotions and build resilience with faith.
