The Story Teller: Shaykh Asim Khan is a Hafiz of Qur’an & an Imam. He is also a course instructor for the Sabeel institute, a published author of 5 book covering Salah, Tafsir and Seerah, and a social media campaigner for good causes. Ustadh Asim Khan also presents regular Islamic shows on satellite channels.

From an early age, he excelled in academic studies and gained a Master’s in Pharmacy from University College London as well as studying Arabic and Qur’anic sciences in Cairo, Egypt. Shaykh Asim Khan is well known for being able to break down and explain complex matters in an easy-to-understand, digestible format.

Venue Accessability: Unfortunately the venue is down a flight of stairs and there is no lift access, anyone using a wheelchair or who finds it difficult to go up and down stairs (approximately 20 steps) would find it very difficult to access the hall. For your own health and safety we regretably advise that you don’t attempt to access the venue.

Push Chairs And Prams: Due to the limited space available inside the venue, we kindly ask you not to bring push chairs or prams in to the venue, especially as you will need to come down a flight of stairs. If you need somewhere to store the push chair during the event, you will need to fold it away and store it away from the seating area at the very back of the hall.

Seating Arrangments: To help create a great experience for the children we encourage all parents and children to sit on the floor together, you can bring salah mats or a picnic blanket to lay down on the floor. We will have limited chairs available for those who are unable to sit on the floor. Any one using a chair MUST stay towards the back of the room as the front area of the room is strictly for those who are sitting on the floor.

Seating is on a first come first served basis. As this is a free event, we will need to register more attendees than we can acutally seat in the venue. The reason we need to do this is because at least 2/3 of the people who register to attend free Islamic seminars and events usually drop out and don’t attend on the day. If you want to ensure you have a seat at the event, we strongly advise that you turn up on time. Once the venue has reached maximum capacity we will not be able to let you enter, even if you have family or friends inside already.

Food And Refreshments: You are welcome to bring your own food, snacks and drink with you, we will also try to have some available for purchase but can not gaurantee this.

Salah Arrangments: As the venue is small and the facilities are limited, we encourage all attendees to pray Asr Salah before arriving at the venue. If you do need to pray at the venue, it might be difficult to find a spot once the event has started. There are also extremely limited wudu facilities (basic wash rooms / toilet facilities).

We will aim to finish before Maghrib.

Fundraising: This event is being organised by the charity ILM (International Learning Movement) in order to support the work they do around the world there will be a short fundraising segment.
