Join Muslim Hikers for an exciting hike in the beautiful Peak District National Park, culminating in a delightful afternoon tea at the prestigious Buxton Crescent Hotel! This picturesque walk from Dove Holes to Buxton offers breathtaking views, a chance to summit Black Edge, and an opportunity to explore the historic spa town of Buxton.
The walk begins with a short train journey from Buxton to Dove Holes. From there, we will embark on a scenic hike back to Buxton, enjoying the stunning landscapes and fresh air of the Peak District. Highlights include:
- Black Edge: A sharp ridgeline summit at 507 meters (1,663 feet) above the village of Dove Holes. Enjoy breathtaking views from this vantage point in the Dark Peak area.
- Luxury Afternoon Tea: After the hike, enjoy a delightful afternoon tea at the prestigious Buxton Crescent Hotel. Indulge in a homemade selection of freshly cut finger sandwiches, warm scones with jam and clotted cream, and an array of sweet treats. Perfect for celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying an indulgent treat.
- Historic Spa Town of Buxton: Explore Buxton, a town known for its Georgian architecture and natural thermal springs. After the hike, take some time to discover what this historic spa town has to offer
This is a fantastic chance to meet likeminded hikers & adventurers from across the country and enjoy a scenic social trek as part of a professionally organised event with qualified mountain guides.
All are welcome regardless of religious background or ability. Whether you’re a seasoned mountaineer or a first time walker, we invite you to join.
PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY – (Car parking may be limited so it’s important to arrive on time to find alternative parking if needed)
You should expect to be back at Buxton Station by 3pm. For those staying for Afternoon Tea, we suggest leaving your car parked at the station and walking to the hotel (5min). Afternoon Tea is served at 3.30pm and you may use the hotel toilets to freshen up.
KIT LIST
Hiking boots with ankle support recommended, rucksack, waterproof jacket & trousers, extra layers, water bottle & packed lunch. You will be sent a full kit list via email.
