About this event
Ramadan is fast approaching, a time where Muslims fast and reflect on charity, community and spirituality.
With the sole intention of bringing communities together and sharing the message of Ramadan, Green Academy Mosque and Communities Inc – who have been working together on the Safety Through Engagement project together to tackle Islamophobia – will be holding a community Iftaar on Saturday the 16th of March at 5pm.
The venue will be the Green Academy Mosque, Queensbury St, Basford, NG6 0DG.
The Iftar will be a community event where we will have guest speakers talking about community cohesion, fasting and charity.
The event will end with the opening of the fast at 6pm followed by a free meal enjoyed together as one community.
As our valued partner and in the spirit of sharing and community cohesion, we invite you to enjoy a meal as part of our community Iftaar.
