QIMAM Outdoor Adventures invites you to the stunning scramble up Helvellyn in the Lake District. The route up via Striding Edge is a Grade 1 scramble, with the hike taking you through impressive terrain, with stunning views on all sides. It is one of the most beautiful places to hike in the area.

Time: Meet at 9am, Start Hike: 10am
Location: Striding Edge, Helvellyn, Lake District
Meeting Point: Will be provided upon registration
Transport: Own transport required. There is limited transport available for those travelling from Leicester ONLY. If you need transport, please choose the add-on when selecting your tickets. Transport cost is £25 per person.
The Walk
Difficulty Level: Moderate – hiking with scrambling (grade 1).
The Area: This location in the Lake District contains some wonderful scenery. We will walk up to the rugged ridge from the river, rising above the lake, and and scramble over the rocks before we reach the peak for breathtaking views from the top at 950m above sea level. This is an easy scramble with world-beating views from the start. Climbing up the ridge, you will be exposed on both sides to views of the Lake District and surrounding areas. We will scramble at a leisurely pace, providing assistance, and allowing for rest stops allowing us to take in the scenery and enjoy the hike. We will stop to provide information and Islamic reminders along the route.
The route is 13km long and you should expect to finish by 6pm.
Equipment List:
Hiking boots with ankle support recommended, rucksack, water & packed lunch. A full list will be sent on registration.
